Give Your Chain Link Fence a Face Lift

Somehow, there is something about a chain link fence that says unfriendly and rundown. This is especially true when the chain link fence already has its share of rust. If you have a chain link fence, you can always prevent it from being a neighborhood eyesore by giving it a fresh coat of paint. Go to your nearest hardware and buy a can or two of aluminum paint. This will cost you no more than $25 per gallon. You will also need wire brush for cleaning off rust, a chemical that will prevent rust from eating your fence away, and a roller for painting the fence. After a couple of coats, you will no longer be ashamed of your chain link fence.

This is a good tip which will help to prolong the inevitable, purchasing a new fence. Good tip though, most people don’t know you can paint a chain link fence. Consider getting a “coated” chain link on the next go round. The mesh, posts, and accessories are dipped in vinyl which protects and stays beautiful for a longer period of time…

This is a GREAT idea for older “unloved” fences. Might I also suggest that adding some privacy slats is a great way to not only keep prying eyes out, but it would be a great addition to the freshly painted fence if you got complimentary colors!
